Welcome
Phishing has been a growing concern both in New Zealand and internationally. The incidence of phishing and credential harvesting has risen by 36%, costing billions of dollars worldwide each year. This is just the tip of the iceberg, as many attacks go unreported.
In 2025, generative AI is expected to lead to more complex and harder-to-detect phishing attacks. Join us to hear from domestic experts on how phishing threats are evolving and the approaches that industry and academia are taking to combat them.
We welcome everyone interested in phishing and cybersecurity.
Registration
General tickets: $50
Attendance for students and non-profit organisations will be free.

The State of Phishing Symposium is a platform for cyber security professionals, business owners and community leaders committed to reducing phishing to be part of a one-day event that explores current trends, real life phishing attacks and prevention strategies.
The symposium aims to cover technical and non-technical topics that include the social impact of phishing, business applications supporting phishing detection and leading developments in AI. We expect 100 delegates to attend the day symposium, which will include local and international representation from different industries, universities and community organisations.
